I know this is off-topic, but--I was dumbfounded when I heard headscarf means freedom for Muslim women. It certainly means the opposite to me!

But apparently, the idea behind the headscarf is this: They can go out! Yes! Without headscarf, they have to stay at home and look out through the curtains. But headscarf? Instant freedom to walk out of the door.
